Tax Analyst

Full Job Description

Overall Purpose of Role:

As the Group progresses with its investment product, to ensure that all operational tax reporting & data requirements are adhered to.  Jurisdictions to abide by include but not limited to US, France, Germany, Italy.

To play a substantial role as the strategy is defined for the investment product and play a large part in the delivery of it.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring all entities within the Group have the right registrations with the appropriate authorities for the purposes of operational tax / transaction tax
• Carry out the relevant submissions of the reports to the relevant bodies in the appropriate jurisdictions
• Design the systems for processing withholding dividends, ensuring data is captured appropriately for understanding liability etc
• Ensuring the trade flows are optimal for the Group and the jurisdictions within which it operates
• Where possible supporting the Group Compliance team in reporting under CRS / FATCA requirements

Skills and Competencies:

• Ability to work on a solo basis with minimal guidance
• Ability to work with individuals at various levels within the Group and cross functional
• Attention to detail
• Numerical skills & accuracy

Educational / Experience Requirements:

• Experience of working with CFDs on equities & cash equities
• Experience of setting up a Operational Tax /Business tax function within the organization
• Experience of working with US tax rules – QI/QDD, W8s, 1042 etc
• Working with FATCA & CRS rules will be advantageous

Personal Specification:

• Will suit an individual who is technical and is willing to work on their own.  Individual would have to be able to influence change within the organization.
