Exciting Opportunity for a Geography Teacher in Croydon!

Are you a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher looking for a new opportunity? VNA Education is thrilled to present a full-time position for a Geography Teacher at an Ofsted Good secondary school in Croydon. This is a permanent opportunity to start in September.

Role Overview:

As a Geography Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students about the fascinating world of geography, including physical landscapes, human societies, and environmental issues. You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing Geography lessons in accordance with the national curriculum, ensuring that all students develop a deep understanding of geographical concepts and skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons covering a wide range of topics.
• Organise and lead geographical fieldwork activities and investigations.
• Teach students how to collect, analyse, and interpret geographical data.
• Explore global issues and challenges, such as climate change, migration, and urbanisation.
• Regularly assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative.
• Establish a positive and inclusive learning environment by implementing effective behaviour management strategies.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the geography department and across the school to share best practices, resources, and ideas for enhancing teaching and learning.

Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification with a specialism in Geography or related field.
• Strong subject knowledge across various geographical topics and concepts.
• Previous experience teaching Geography at the secondary level.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
