GENERAL TEACHING ASSISTANT - LANCASTER - PART TIME (MORNINGS ONLY)

A primary school in Lancaster is looking for a Teaching Assistant to offer general support across various year groups between KS1 and KS2

The position is part time, working 5 days a week, 8.50am until 12pm/12.30pm (mornings only).

This role will be a general TA position, which will include working in small groups, one to one and supporting the class teacher to enable all pupils to access and engage in lessons and activities.

Duties will include:

Preparing activities and lessons
Delivering engaging sessions
Supervising and providing particular support and encouragement for the pupil
Ensuring pupils safety and access to learning activities
Supporting pupils with specialist needs and implementing IEPs
Phonics

Teaching Assistant Key Information:

Lancaster area
5 days per week, mornings only
£13.50 per hour
To start on Monday 15th April 2024

Candidate Requirements:

Minimum of Teaching Assistant level 2 qualification
Experience and knowledge of KS1/KS2
Behaviour management
Phonics experience and knowledge
Adaptable and flexible to support the class teacher and to suit needs of pupils.
Available full time for the duration of the assignment
