Teaching Assistant (SEMH) - Horsham, West Sussex - Full-time - Start As Soon As Available

Pink Tile Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant for our client, a fantastic, forward-thinking & ambitious special school in Horsham. The pupil community is diverse & spans KS1 to KS4. You will support the team in providing an opportunity for these young people to re-engage and enjoy the core curriculum, as well as other activities. There are both primary & secondary support roles available. The school are seeking to appoint permanent staff after an initial probation period.

The school boasts incredible resources & facilities on-site, including animals, horticulture, large-acre grounds (rural) & much more!

Pay = £95 per day (£25 a day more than the market average for this role) 8:30 - 4:30, 5:00 on one day a week. Term time only.

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to obtain one (we can help you to obtain one before your start date)
  • Able to adapt to the different needs of each student
  • Confident working with children & young people in SEN
  • Experience working with children & young people (desired)
  • Experience working with children & young people in SEN (desired)

Responsibilities

  • Support class teacher
  • Support the pupils
  • Understand individual needs & adapt approach
  • Manage behaviour
  • Inspire & have fun with infants and juniors

- Give details for us to complete Reference checks;

- Provide an Enhanced DBS disclosure
