Technical Manager (Food / Quality)
Nantwich
£48,000 to
£54,000 DOE + Company Pension + Free Parking + Gym Membership +

Monday to
Friday 42 Hours per Week – 08:30 to 17:00
Technical
Manager required for a fast-growing food manufacturer in Nantwich.
This is a great opportunity to join a well-established company whilst
playing an integral role within the business.
To apply for this
role you will have experience working within the food industry as you
will need a working knowledge of BRC compliance and audits.
Experienced Technical Managers as well Technical Leads, Quality
Managers, Supervisors or similar will all be suited.
The
successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a small team
of three and will be responsible for managing and overseeing
everything related to Quality Assurance on site. This will involve
ensuring existing standards, based from HACCP, BRC, and Customer COP
requirements, are maintained, and will champion continuous
improvement.
The Technical Manager Role:
· Manage QA activities on site, including ensuring
food safety is managed effectively
· Ensure the laboratory
operates in line with customer COP requirements
· Working with
HACCP principles and BRC standards
· Define and manage internal
auditing system
· Assessment of quality performance,
complaints, non-conformances, and trends, through the development of
measuring capabilities
· Management of a team of three
·
Pest control management
· Management of all external shelf life
samples (for launched products)
· Ensure measuring equipment
critical to food safety is calibrated correctly
The
Technical Manager Candidate:
· Experience in the food
industry
· Aware of BRC standards
· Interest in food
safety
· Leadership experience
· Experience working with
retailer quality systems
