We are recruiting for a Technical Manager for an NHS provider. This role will be a mobile role and will entail a level of independant working depending upon contracts.
The Technical Manager role will form part of the Technical Services Department, providing a Centre of Excellence covering technical and water safety expertise, ensuring guidance and support is given across the company by:
Role objectives:
* Providing specialist
technical guidance - acting where necessary as the subject matter
expert (SME) for the company.
* Delivering support across the
organisation with effective knowledge of engineering systems, to
include Ventilation systems, Water Management, Medical Gas Systems,
Pressure Systems, Boilers and Electrical infrastructure.
* As part
of the Technical Services Team, support as required specific localised
water safety group meetings.
* Support the business, providing
subject matter expertise, advice, and support on water safety.
*
Providing the assurance to the organisation that LIFTCo's/FMCo's
deliver compliance with all statutory regulations, Health Technical
Memoranda, professional guidance, and industry best practice with
respect to all building systems.
* Being the intelligent client
with a focus on the technical elements of the estate, variations,
projects, future methods of construction and lifecycle.
* Providing
expertise to draft remit and procure specialist advice from supply
chain specialists.
* Providing technical support relating to "end
of term", lifecycle, building condition, technical specification, and
costings.
Qualifications:
* Recognised
engineering qualification e.g., Degree/Diploma or equivalent
experience.
* Recognised qualification in Water Safety e.g.,
Degree/Diploma or equivalent experience.
* MBA/MSc Engineering -
Desirable but not essential
* Professional Affiliation e.g., CIBSE

* Legionella Responsible Persons -
Desirable but not essential
