Theatre Nurse / ODP - Private Hospital 

  • Location:  Tunbridge Wells

  • Salary:  £35,000 - £41,000 per annum ( Band 6 ) - negotiable depending on experience
  • Hours:  Full time 37.5
  • Contract type: Permanent

About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to join a fantastic Private Hospital in Tunbridge Wells. The hospital boasts excellent facilities including 2 operating theatres, a sterile services department, endoscopy suite and a fully equipped diagnostic and imaging department. The hospital offers outpatients and physiotherapy departments providing services six days a week. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to join a friendly and experienced theatre team. The team are passionate about high quality care and put their patients at the heart of everything they do and are looking for a like-minded Theatre Nurse / ODP to join them.  

Duties and responsibilities
You will be working as a Theatre Nurse / Practitioner and will be responsible for:

  • Assist in scrubbing for consultant lead surgeries 
  • Scrub for a range of surgeries including Orthopaedics, General surgery, Gynaecology, ENT, Breast and Ophthalmic
  • Order and store specialised kits for surgeries
  • Keep preference cards for the surgeons and keep them up to date with any changes

Who we're looking for

  • Be NMC / HCPC registered - your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK
  • At least 2 years UK experience as a Scrub Nurse / ODP
  • Orthopaedic experience highly desirable 
  • ALS and Airway Maintenance certifications desirable
  • Good team player
  • Excellent communication skills
