Overview:
First Military Recruitment is proudly working in
partnership with a fantastic International Defence business who are
looking to recruit a Touring Helicopter Pilot on a permanent basis due
to growth to be based at their Barton depot but with occasional travel
across the UK to support other bases.
As a Touring Helicopter
Pilot, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Our Client is a
leading provider of mission-critical helicopter services to the air
ambulance and police sectors throughout the UK. They provide
world-class operations, helping to save lives and protect communities
every day.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Fly for the Northwest Air Ambulance charity.
- Health and safety responsibilities and strong understanding of required Aviation regulations
- Experience of night tasking
Essential experience of the Helicopter Base
Pilot:
Either:
- 1000 hours pilot in command of aircraft of which 500 hours is pilot in command on twin turbine helicopters; or
- 1000 hours as co-pilot in HEMS/Police operations of which 500 hours is as pilot in command under supervision and 100 hours pilot in command of twin turbine helicopters.
Must have the following
in addition to either of the above 2 points:
- 2000 hours minimum total helicopter experience.
- 500 hours operating experience in twin turbine helicopters in an operational environment similar to the intended operation.
- 20 hours VFR at night as pilot in command.
- Fluent English, Driving License, Passport, Right to Work in the UK.
Candidates would also ideally have the following:
- Be qualified and instrument rated on the EC135.
- Have current or recent HEMS experience.
- Have experience of NVIS operations.
