Full Job Description
It’s an exciting time for us here at Kits N Bits as we expand our
team and recruit a Towbar Engineer to provide a mobile service to our
customers across South Wales.
This is a full-time role working
Monday-Friday, 8.30am-5pm.
The salary range is £26,000-£32,000
per annum, depending on experience.
You will be
responsible for…
- Travelling to customer locations to install towbars, towing electrics, and coding electrics on various types of vehicles.
- Conducting pre-installation inspections to ensure compatibility and safety.
- Testing towbar installations to ensure proper functionality and safety.
- Providing demonstrations and instructions to customers on the use and maintenance of towbars.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Maintaining accurate records of installations and liaising with the Office Team.
What
we're looking for in our ideal candidate...
Whilst our ideal candidate will be an experienced
Automotive Mechanic or Towbar Fitter, this experience is not essential
as full training will be provided. You must have a passion for
vehicles and vehicle maintenance and be enthusiastic about applying
your knowledge and developing your skills.
We’ll also look to
upskill you in other areas of our business with on-the-job training if
you demonstrate an aptitude for this.
Ideally, you will have
studied mechanical engineering or light vehicle mechanics & repair
either at NVQ or Degree level. Alternatively, you may have been an
apprentice mechanic or have garage mechanic experience.
You
will have excellent customer service and communication skills; talking
customers through the work undertaken, how to best use the
products/services provided, and answering queries to a high
standard.
You must have a current and valid driving licence as
the role is mobile you will undertake significant travel within South
Wales in a company provided van.
