As our Trading Manager for Korea, you’ll manage day-to-day ecommerce trading tactically that generates fast and sustainable growth for our ever-expanding client list of sites in Korea (which includes Anthropologie, ASOS, Saks Fifth Avenue, American Eagle Outfitters, Matches Fashion, Urban Outfitters, Boden and many more).
You will have expert knowledge on how customers in Korea expect ecommerce sites to look, feel and behave, and how to build brand awareness and acquire customers in the Korean market. You will be the voice of the Korean customer in the business and use data-driven insights to inform how we innovate. You will be responsible for total Korea GMV (revenue), site conversion improvement, and shopper NPS.
Main Accountabilities:
- Manage all aspects of day-to-day trading of the store to achieve revenue growth;
- Responsible for net revenue targets and other KPIs including average order size, value, conversion rates and returns for our client’s e-commerce stores in Korea, as well as generating relevant reporting daily, weekly, monthly result vs targets;
- Create and own the trading calendar growing existing client brands along with new client brand launches, which details how we’ll hit all financial targets and KPIs;
- Own the analytical and CRO tools that will help unlock greater insight to build hypotheses and then test in order to generate incremental output against your KPIs;
- Own all visual merchandising of the e-commerce store from product to signposting and work with the Content and Design teams to create engaging content that drives sales;
- Define, shape and implement a long-term e-commerce tactics to exceed revenue targets and KPIs and proactively seek opportunities to drive incremental growth, engaging key stakeholders across all areas of the Product, Brand, Marketing, Finance and Operations functions;
- Support the Marketing function to build, execute and optimise marketing tactics to generate incremental traffic (including paid search, paid social & CRM) to the store;
- Support and challenge the Technology / Product team to design, develop and deploy the tools you need to deliver your objectives, quickly resolving any short-term bugs or general functionality issues;
- Build expert knowledge in Korean customer insights, retail benchmarking, consumer trends, ecommerce trends, payment landscape, logistics landscape and marketing best practices
- Be the voice of Korea within Localised: the authority at Localised for Korea, representing and communicating the needs and wants of customers in Korea, and informing the company on the ways in which we need to adapt and innovate
- Positively impact and influence internal stakeholders and external partners;
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with company stakeholders and partners;
- Think like a customer, all the time, every day.
Success in 6 months:
- Become fully immersed and able to trade / optimise conversion rate on Localised 1st party eCom platform;
- Driven +30% growth for live/current merchants/clients in Korea;
- Helped launch 3 new merchants/client live in Korea and delivered launch revenue / success metrics;
Success in 24 months:
You’ve been a key part of driving Growth in Korea and have been promoted to Head of Trading for Korea / APAC and have helped to recruit/scale a team of localised trading experts, driving revenue and sustainable growth for our clients and Localised.

- You have a great opportunity to focus on both, drive more revenues, while looking for cost saving through greater productivity and conversion rate optimisation.

- Have great understanding of retail, e-commerce and marketing businesses; you’re a natural retailer; obsessed with delivering your promise to customers and revenue optimisation;
- Have a proven track record as a commercial individual, who understands brand, fans and customers;
- Intellectual and emotional intelligence; you understand how to maximise output in conversion activity where a blend of skills and experience are required (data analysis vs creative visual merchandising and UX are quite different approaches)
- You are independent and self-directed but able to work and lead a team of creative individuals;
- A quick learner who can process lots of information and prioritise action;
- Are bullish about its potential to offer customers better products and a better shopping experiences
Experience & skills:
- 5+ years’ experience managing Korean / APAC e-commerce
- Fluent in English, and native in Korean
- Fully operational to leading edge experience with eCommerce CMS / Platforms, Analytical / CRO tools like Google Analytics etc;
- Working knowledge of demand creation and optimisation of inbound traffic channels from Organic, Earned, Paid Media & CRM;
- Able to work in a high-performance environment and deliver against challenging deadlines;
- Willingness to learn new approaches and adapt to different working styles;
