About the roleWe are looking for a talented Train Driver to join our Rail team in Crawley.
** Successful candidates will receive comprehensive training and hands-on experience, enabling them to develop the skills and knowledge needed to contribute effectively to our projects, as well as personal development and growth within Balfour Beatty **
What you'll be doing
The successful candidate will drive and operate specialist plant safely, ensuring professionalism and compliance in all job responsibilities.
Who we are looking for
Have a good awareness of railway health and safety requirements.
Able to carry out minor maintenance and repairs.
Hold a current UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
Hold a train driving licence (desirable).
Flexibility to work around a roster that includes night, weekends, bank holidays and respond to short notice changes of plan.
Successful completion of psychometric testing will be required.
Reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the site.
*** During the initial months, you will participate in daytime training courses. Upon completing your training, you will transition to working night and weekend shifts ***
