Salary – £26,500 - £35,000 DOE

The Opportunity:

Are you an experienced Tree Surgeon? Our client is seeking a dedicated Tree Surgeon to join their team working on several contracts. As a Tree Surgeon, you'll play a key role crucial role in ensuring that Arboricultural projects are carried out to the highest of standards.

As a Tree Surgeon your responsibilities will include the following:

• Assess the health, structure, and safety of trees. They identify any diseases, pests, or structural issues that may affect the tree's health or pose a risk to nearby structures or people.

• Prune and trim trees to promote healthy growth, improve aesthetics, and remove hazardous branches. This involves using specialized tools and techniques to carefully remove branches without causing damage to the tree.

• In cases where a tree is dead, diseased, or poses a safety hazard, tree surgeons may need to remove it. This involves safely cutting down the tree and disposing of the debris.

• Advise on suitable tree species for specific locations and assist with planting new trees. They ensure proper planting techniques are followed to promote healthy growth.

• Provide treatments such as fertilization, pest control, and disease management to maintain the health of trees.

• In the event of storms, accidents, or other emergencies, tree surgeons may be called upon to remove fallen trees or limbs to restore safety and functionality.

• Evaluate the risk posed by trees to surrounding property and people. They may recommend measures such as cabling or bracing to support weak branches or trees.

• Responsible for maintaining their equipment in good working condition to ensure safety and efficiency during tree care operations.

We are looking for a Tree Surgeon who has the following skills and qualifications:

• Full UK Driver’s License is essential

• Minimum a years’ experience as a Tree Surgeon

• CS30, CS31 are a minimum, CS38, CS39 are preferred

• Willing to work by themselves when required.

• Team player.

• NVQ in Arboriculture is a bonus
