Cookpad is a food tech company dedicated to shaping the future of home cooking and food as a pillar for a sustainable future. At our Bristol headquarters we have been developing innovative product ideas and we now have a new product launch in 4 countries: Japan, UK, France and Italy.


This is a premium service - our new product’s focus is on helping people learn to cook in an innovative way with personal coaching service from professional chefs.


We have a vacant position for an Operations Coordinator of our market in Japan. As Operations Coordinator, initially working alongside an existing team member, your role will directly help our Japan customers achieve their goals. You will have ownership of matching our customers with outstanding chefs in an exciting, fast-paced start-up environment and be the voice of our customer inside the company.


Requirements

Fluent communication in Japanese is essential and your initial focus will be operational - facilitating frequent communication with coaches and ensuring our customers have the best possible coaching experience. You’ll provide feedback on coaching, consult with chefs on any questions related to customer coaching and offer training.


To be successful you’ll be very proactive and customer centric, have a passion to help people build their skills and confidence and be able to communicate and build a strong rapport.


Support will involve daily conversations with customers and chefs and also working closely with our product development team to ensure service delivery aligns with our product design. You’ll also be part of the feedback loop on our product - sharing blockers and addressing any issues quickly.


You will need:

  • fluent Japanese communication skills and advanced proficiency in English to ensure effective communication with team members;
  • a start-up mindset - there are frequent minor changes in our product design since we are still developing our service;
  • a commitment to carrying out tasks and projects from start to finish, ensuring all operational details are handled and objectives are met;
  • to deliver great customer support; and
  • basic technology skills (Google sheet, Slack, zoom etc..)


What we offer:

  • The position requires a minimum commitment equivalent to full-time employment
  • The position allows for some flexibility in location. Our office is based in Bristol and we welcome applications from within a reasonable commuting distance.
  • Hybrid - working 2-3 days a week from our Bristol office. Initially, commuting to the office a few times per week is required, but there is the possibility to transition to a more flexible work-from-home arrangement over time.
