What Is the Opportunity?
Bond and Specialty Insurance provides Financial Lines insurance for Small, Medium and Large sized businesses through our Broker networks. In the Insurance Professional Development Program, you will build Insurance skillsets through a blend of mentorship, professional qualifications through an apprenticeship, and on-the-job training. You will work with a collaborative team of underwriters that will provide you with the opportunity to build a unique and successful career within a highly competitive area of the insurance industry.

Travelers Europe currently offers flexibility to employees who wish to work on a hybrid basis in accordance with our Hybrid Work Arrangements Policy. This entails full time employees working three days a week in the office and two days at home (or pro rata for part-time employees). This policy may be changed at the Company’s discretion.What Will You Do?
  • Triage, process and input New Business, Renewals and mid-term adjustments on the relevant IT systems.
  • Utilise appropriate systems to accurately enter quotes, risks and endorsements, so as to ensure correct management, statistical and regulatory reporting.
  • Ensure timely of risks into the relevant systems via Shared Services
  • Review aggregation data, respond to queries and ensure it is accurately entered into the systems where required.
  • Obtain required information for local policies, liasing with the local team and underwriters.
  • Support Underwriters by handling queries and preparing documentations for renewals and broker meetings.
  • Assist with pricing and classifying risks in accordance with the Underwriting Guidelines and rating considerations.
  • Liaison with the Actuarial department as required.
  • Assist Operations or Credit Control with resolving queries on overdue premium, tax queries or aged debt.
  • Prepare loss reports for Brokers.
  • Conduct research for Senior Underwriters as directed e.g. review of trade press, financial/credit scoring information etc.
  • Work effectively with colleagues at all levels within Underwriting and across the business support functions such as Operations, Actuarial and Finance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What is a Must Have?
  • A-Levels or similar qualification.

  • Private Medical Insurance: On commencement of employment, you are eligible for single cover provided by Travelers, with the option to add cover for your dependents, at your expense through payroll deduction.
  • Retirement: Travelers will make a basic contribution of 9% of pensionable salary to your Group Personal Pension Plan (“GPPP”). If you decide to contribute an additional amount from your salary, you will receive an increased company contribution up to a maximum of 3%. This would bring the total company contribution to 12%.
