UC Network Engineer


An exciting role dynamic individual who is looking to work with the Unified Communications technology. Assisting the UC team to delivery successful Unified Communications projects and provide support to the Service Desk functions, including activities such as:

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of designated projects and working with the sales team & customers to deliver against the project scope
  • Maximising revenue generation through understanding the products available to our customers
  • Liaise with the wider UC team and wider teams on developing scopes of works for customers.
  • Manage your own diary to maximise your work week
  • Support the business throughout all stages of the business change, from defining requirements to design, development, and change
  • Facilitate stakeholder collaboration and organisational changes
  • Ensuring compliance with Project Management Office standards as applicable
  • Identify and manage risk, proposing practical solutions
  • Ensure all documentation is aligned to the customer’s needs, maintained and accurate in line with the project scope and made available to the service desk
  • Be the main contact for key customers and work with internal stakeholders to ensure communication is delivered as per the project scope
  • Provide an escalation point to Service Desk teams during “enhanced support” period and in life as required.
  • Monitor budgetary spend and ensure financial expectations are met for each project
  • Liaise with internal and external parties, as necessary ensuring that the highest standard of customer service is achieved, and results are delivered in a timely and efficient manner in line with set budgets.



Essential Skills

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with users and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of networking equipment and Local and Wide Area Network topologies.
  • High level grades within ICT or similar competences within Higher Education
  • Understanding and ability to map out LAN & WAN infrastructures
  • Desire to develop and work within a busy team where no two days are the same
  • Desire to develop as part of a growing team and business unit
  • Efficient and organised task management
  • Time management and deadline tracking
  • Working as part of a distributed delivery team
  • Wanting to develop their knowledge and progress within the UC team
