Job Description

Job purpose

The Unified Comms Engineer is responsible for the administration, performance, and operational improvement of our Unified Communications systems. Working with internal colleagues and 3rd party partners, they will ensure that our Contact Centre and Colleague communication systems (Telephony, Conferencing and Mobile Phone) are available and the BAU incident/requests are resolved within SLA.

Key Responsibilities

Providing Level 3 support for MS Teams environment, including voice, video, contact centre services.

Troubleshooting of MS Teams voice issues, including but not limited to inability to complete calls, headset issues, incorrect account policy, delegation etc. and working with support teams to resolve and offer guidance.

Working with the End User Computing manager and 3rd party partners to deliver continuous improvements as per business requirements.

Providing relevant training for Business Champions and end-users in relation to operational support.

Updating and maintaining support and Standard Operating Procedure documentation.

Qualifications

Key Skills, Competencies and Experience

  • Experience in delivering MS Teams Telephony solutions, and management of the platform.
  • Experience working with SIP communications, working with SIP providers, and troubleshooting such issues.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting/administering SBC’s
  • MS teams call recording application experience (i.e. AudioCodes).
  • Experience is supporting cloud-based PBX / contact centre applications/solutions (i.e. Anywhere 365).
  • Experience in creating IVR solutions.
  • Knowledge if administering and maintaining MS teams room conferencing devices, specifically Poly (HP) devices.
  • Microsoft PowerShell scripting experience with a focus on telephony
  • Corporate Mobile phone, including call recording management experience.
  • Experience in working with 3rd Party Suppliers and relationship management of suppliers.
  • Experience in working with Business users to capture Business requirements, translating these into technical deliveries.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills, including ability to train others.
  • Working knowledge of data network fundamentals: TCP/IP, cabling, and LAN troubleshooting.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and incident diagnosis of computer networking and telephony systems.
  • Must be highly organised, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work with little supervision.

Professional Qualifications and Education

  • Industry recognised qualifications
  • Experience with ITIL Processes
  • ITIL Foundation certificate
  • Good knowledge of agile processes
