Van Driver/ Warehouse Operative

Full Job Description

An unmissable opportunity has come up here at Driver Hire Southampton to join a well-established family run business which specialises in carpets and flooring accessories. This client is looking for a motivated and customer orientated individual to join them as a Warehouse Operative/ Driver.

What you need to know:

• Temp to perm position
• Monday to Friday
• 7:30am start time (8-10-hour days)
• Complete deliveries of goods when required (driving a 3.5T van)
• Ensure all delivery notes are kept up to date
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Helping customers with their orders in the store
• Check stock levels and ensure the right stock is ordered
• Report any damaged goods
• Ensure warehouse is kept tidy at all times
• Assist trade counter
• Vinyl cutting/ nose drilling (training provided)

What we require from you:

• Full UK driving licence
• Own transport to commute to and from work is essential
• Previous experience in a customer service orientated role
• Confident when dealing with customers face to face
• Comply with the companies health and safety procedures
• Flexible and happy to help where required
• Great time keeping
• Happy with manual handling and heavy lifting
