Your role and responsibilities
We are a large Veterinary Hospital in Swindon looking for a professional, highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Dentistry team.
Your role is instrumental in the running of our busy department in assisting the 5 Dentistry Vets, 7 Registered nurses and an additional Tech that make up the team.
The role will include a variety of tasks in assisting with the daily running of the Dental Suite, such as;
- Setting up for procedures
- Cleaning and sterilisation of kits
- Instrument care and maintenance
- Cleaning and turning around our 3 procedure bays throughout the day
- Assisting with procedures such as retracting, suction and recording on Dental Charts
- End of day cleaning and shutting down the department
- Assisting with the cleaning and laundry of all patient and clinical items
- Stock control including stocking up, monitoring stock levels, partaking in quarterly Stock Take and ordering supplies as necessary
- Associated administrative duties
- Working in a theatre environment, including patient preparation for surgical procedures
- Lab duties- including running lab samples
- Occasional
animal handling. Experience of working with animals would be desirable
but not essential, and full training will be provided.
There are many hospital-wide teams and groups that you can be involved in e.g. Green Team, Infection Control and Team Voice, that focus on particular aspects of patient care/hospital policies.
