Veterinary Surgeon

An independent RCVS accredited Small Animal Practice located near Plymouth is currently seeking a full-time Veterinary Surgeon. The position is also open to part-time candidates, offering flexible hours.

The role requires a mix of consultations and surgery, with the opportunity to manage and follow through on your own cases, both medical and surgical. The team is supportive and encourages clinical discussions and collaboration on complex cases.

The ideal candidate will have experience in medicine or diagnostic imaging and CPD for certificates encouraged.

The nursing team comprises RVNs, SVN’s, and other support staff to ensure the provision of quality care and continuity of service to clients and patients. The practice maintains its own out-of-hours service, with on-site nursing staff covering nights, weekends, and hospital cases, enabling the team to maintain exceptional care continually.

The OOH rota comprises a 1:6 night and weekend schedule with two days off after doing a weekend.

The candidate will also be working a four-day week with a remuneration package ranging from £32,000 to £60,000 (plus benefits), depending on experience.
