Warehouse Operative/Driver • Stratford upon Avon • Full time • Permanent • £25,300 per annum

Our client, located nr Stratford upon Avon.  A small, independently owned business, we have a close-knit, supportive environment where everybody plays a part in our success.  We are currently seeking a Driver/Warehouse Operative to support the current team of two.  The role will be varied and will involve a combination of driving and warehouse duties to support the operations efficiently.

Day to day duties and responsibilities for the Warehouse Operative/Driver role

• Supporting the warehouse manager with general warehouse duties
• Picking and packing
• Stock control
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the warehouse adhering to health and safety standards
• Delivering equipment to our customers, nationwide.
• Equipment will range from small items to heavyweight items.

What you'll need to succeed in our Warehouse Operative/Driver

• Previous warehouse experience is a must
• Current Reach FLT licence or previous experience (requalification will be supported)
• Previous experience of an integrated warehouse management system is desirable to book goods in and out. 
• Valid UK driving license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience of driving a light goods vehicle, similar to a box Luton van.
• Conducting routine vehicle checks.
• Flexibility with regard to working hours and start and finish times is a must.  The role requires the ability to start at 5.30am for early drop offs in London and, on occasion, late finishes.  Time off in lieu is given during quieter times. 
• Loading and unloading the van.
• Sometimes required to assist with installations. 
• Good physical fitness and stamina to perform manual handling tasks.
• You will regularly meet our customers so excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are key as a company representative.
• Ideally a good knowledge of UK road networks and geography.
