Overview

Element currently has an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE

 

Element Deeside is the largest analytical chemistry laboratory within the Element Group and the market leading UK laboratory undertaking the testing of soils, waters, wastes, oils, NAPLs, ambient air, soil vapours and gases from all over the world.  The laboratory undertakes high volume routine analysis as well as offering bespoke method development, technical support and hydrocarbon forensic interpretations to enhance the support we can deliver.  The laboratory has an international reputation for service excellence and supports clients that require a higher level of technical expertise, reliability in data quality and seamless project management from sample collection to timely delivery of data.

Responsibilities
  • Disposal and Washing Coolboxes
  • Receipt of incoming shipments of laboratory supplies, chemicals, and equipment
  • Organise and maintain the warehouse and storage areas in accordance with laboratory requirements
  • Maintain a well-organised system for tracking and documenting the movement of supplies within the laboratory
  • Ensure proper storage of the stock/chemicals in collaboration with technical staff
  • Adhere to all laboratory safety guidelines, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines for handling and transporting material
  • Respond quickly to prepare orders and distribute materials to laboratory personnel as per requests or predetermined schedules
  • Coordinate with laboratory staff to understand their supply needs and ensure timely delivery
  • Ad hoc duties

 

Skills / Qualifications
  • Clean Driving licence is essential
  • Forklift (counterbalance) desirable but not essential
  • Organised and motivated
  • A team player
  • Ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines
