Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary :

As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the engineering department by managing and maintaining inventory, organising and tracking materials, and supporting the overall logistical needs of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management:
• Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and stock locations.
• Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and reconcile discrepancies.
• Order Processing:
• Process requests for materials and supplies from various departments.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of orders.
• Monitor stock levels and initiate reordering when necessary.
• Material Handling:
• Safely handle and transport materials within the warehouse or to designated work areas.
• Ensure proper storage and organization of materials to optimize space and accessibility.
• Documentation:
• Generate and maintain accurate records, including receipts, issue vouchers, and stock movement logs.
• Prepare and submit reports on inventory status, consumption, and other relevant metrics.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with other departments to understand their material requirements.
• Communicate effectively with team members, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or inventory management is a plus.
• Proven experience in a similar role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (if applicable).
• Knowledge of basic computer applications for inventory tracking.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
