Welder / Fabricator – MIG & TIG

CE Solutions are seeking a qualified welder / fabricator with mild steel MIG and stainless steel TIG welding experience for a growing organisation who specialises in process pipework, fabrication and mechanical installation projects.

The role: If successful, you will be working in the workshop located in Peterborough

Key accountabilities, duties, and responsibilities:

• Fabricating and welding a wide range of items including:

1. Small and large bore pipework in carbon and stainless (schedule and OD tubing)

2. General fabrication in mild steel

• Reading technical drawings
• Measuring, cutting and preparing materials for welding
• TIG weld carbon steel and stainless pipework to a high standard
• MIG weld mild steel hollow sections, structural profiles and sheet metal
• The role includes bench work and site work

About you:

Essential:

• You must live within a commutable distance of Peterborough
• You will have demonstrable experience of butt welding stainless steel pipework
• You will have mild steel MIG and stainless steel TIG welding experience
• You will have safety awareness and will work safely in accordance with RAMS and safe systems of work
• Will have previous experience reading technical drawings
• You must be able to use your initiative and create your own basic drawings when needed

Desirable:

• Forklift Licence desirable but not essential
• IPAF 3a (Mobile Scissor Lifts) / 3b (Mobile Boom Lifts) would be an advantage, but training will be provided where necessary

Vacancy : Welder / Fabricator – TIG & MIG

Location : Peterborough - The role is site based - no travelling is required as the projects are within a client's facility

Salary : £15.00 to £18.50 per hour, depending upon experience and skill level

Contract Type : PAYE – permanent – full time

Hours : Mon - Fri 8am -16.30pm (40 hours per week)
