The role
As a Work Package Proposal Lead, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This is an exciting opportunity to work on multi million pound contracts and help to raise the profile of the company with key stakeholders.

Day to day, you'll carry out a combination of project and contract management, working on contracts as well as helping to increase the overall contract value.

  • Work closely with internal delivery teams and enable functions to define the scope and technical / programme requirements for the work packages
  • Take ownership of the bid deliverables and take them through internal approvals process (technical, commercial and finance)
  • Coordinate and chair governance reviews
  • Support task owners to develop 'Requests for Quotations" and generate their costed proposals for submissions
  • Support project governance and progress reviews for the delivery of the work packages to time and value for money, including the development of project schedules and milestones

This role is full time - 36 hours and will be based on site at Babcock Technology Centre 2 days per week with hybrid working from home arrangements.

Essential experience of the Work Package Proposal Lead:

  • A good communicator
  • The ability to present technical and business-related information in a concise and coherent manner
  • Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail and accuracy of data
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office - Excel and Project as well as knowledge of project management methodologies and working practices
  • Defence background (Desirable)

Qualifications for the Work Package Proposal Lead:

  • APM PMQ
  • Degree educated

Please note that this position is subject to enhanced national security vetting. The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements (this may include obtaining SC, NNPPI or Developed Vetting (DV) level of security clearances).
