Workshop Manager

Our customer is looking for a Workshop Manager to join their experienced team on a full time basis. They are looking for someone with strong leadership and organisation skills to work site based at their workshop in Exeter. Our client are specialist Van dealers.

As Senior Technician, you will:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the workshop
• Coordinate and schedule work assignments for workshop staff
• Ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies
• Perform equipment repairs and maintenance as needed
• Maintain invoicing for vehicles and parts & expenses.
• Assemble and disassemble machinery and equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide solutions
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Train and mentor workshop staff on proper procedures and safety protocols

The ideal candidate will have the below:

• Experience in the diagnosis, servicing, maintenance and repair of Light Vehicles.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Experience in equipment repair and maintenance
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Customer service-oriented mindset
