Yacht Commissioning Technician (Cabinet Maker/ Carpenter)

Full Job Description

An excellent permanent opportunity has arisen for someone with cabinet making/carpentry experience to work within a luxury yacht commissioning team based in Ipswich. Worldwide travel required for a few days every few weeks.

Employed as part of a small, dedicated team, the successful candidate will be a self-starting problem solver who will thrive fault-finding, testing and rectifying final ‘snagging’ issues and doing warranty work. Depending on the candidate’s skill set this could mean cabinetry, electrical testing, GRP work any other repairs/adjustments that are required prior to customer delivery or for warranty work.

Applicants must have excellent cabinet making skills, high attention to detail and a perfectionist nature. Previous marine experience is not essential but being quality driven and having the ability to work in a tidy, methodical manner are important. Good customer service skills are also required along with the need to drive the job to completion to meet deadlines.

Hours of work are 8.00am – 4.30pm with considerable overtime available.

Starting salary c£29K increasing to c£30K after 6 months. OTE with overtime and bonus c£42K.
