Position Purpose:  

 

The YouTube M anager is responsible for both the day-to-day management of multiple channels owned by StoneX – including StoneX Official, Forex.com and City Index brands. The manager will work with content teams to organize an effective video calendar to optimize views, engagement and subscribers. Supporting content creators to upload videos as well as optimize them through titles, descriptions, create compelling thumbnails and more to grow our channels, reach unique audiences according to brand guidelines and convert viewers to leads .    

On the strategic side, the YouTube manager will be considered an internal expert on the platform. Regular strategic discussions will be held along with the implementation of strategic trialing to ensure our videos reach larger groups. Organization of playlists, integration of new CTAs and feedback highlighting strategic content gaps that can be pursued are all vital elements of this role.    

 

Responsibilities

Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities:  

 

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of running a global YouTube channel in partnership and under the guidance of digital marketing and content teams  
  • Maintain a video publishing calendar that works alongside the general content calendar  
  • Produc e and u pload videos in support of various content creators to ensure optimal cadence and free time for more content production  
  • Develop social media video content, produce concepts for analysts , merge our technology video platforms ( SocialLive ) and integrate with Sprout Social to review and distinguish areas of improvement based on data and organic traffic, paired with paid media buys by working with the social m edia team .  
  • Work with stakeholders for any video production needs that optimize the exposure and frequency of content in YouTube.  
  • Take responsibility for the overall look and design of all video channels and make sure they align with all relevant branding guidelines  
  • Serve as moderator during any interview segment production and own all video communications.   
  • We have a dedicated copy team that will write the content/scripts and the role only requires that the candidate work on the YouTube video best way to edit, develop and execute.  
  • Work with design teams to create better and unique thumbnails for individual videos and series  
  • Analyze trends in YouTube with analytics and competitive audits  
  • Organize video content on YouTube channel s while also supporting the strategic use of embedded video on our native platform to provide a valuable multi-media content offering  
  • Monitor engagement through comments, likes and other important metrics with regular meetings through social media and ORM teams to develop strategies  
  • Generate regular performance reports to show performance of pages, short falls, opportunities, competitor analysis and other important strategic insights  
  • Communicate and liaise with to the ORM team regarding any potential online reputation risks.  
  • Able to create/follow a strong communication framework at channel level, playlist, and video level, consistent with the brand, the channel structure, the target audience messaging, and the Marketing goals.   
  • Demonstrated experience and performance in leveraging video and channel engagement, as a key ranking factor, through various techniques.  
  • Collaborate with Social Media team to generate shorts and hot takes that could be shared to specific audiences and/or can capture market momentum.  
  • Stay up to date with the latest announcements and releases about the online video industry from the relevant digital players.  
  • Collaborate with the SEO team to create best practices for video titles and descriptions that can be shared with content creators – with regular updates to stay abreast of evolving trends.  
  • Optimize titles, descriptions and keywords, YT tags and hashtags, captions, filenames , etc. to be SEO focused.  
  • Experience working with YT SEO software like videIQ , TubeBudy , TubeRanker or similar.  
  • Familiarised with the latest AI releases to take advantage of tools that could optimise the video publishing workflow.  
  • Sync with the SEO Team to propose strategies to maximise the content reach through deep linking  
  • Create the videos CTA/CTR strategy by employing smart thumbnails placement (A/B Testing).  
Qualifications

Job Requirements:  

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications , Motion Graphics, Video Design or Business  
  • Emphasis on Motion Graphics/YouTube  
  • Extensive experience in managing a YouT ube account/ s  
  • Technical experience in running reports around critical video metrics  
  • Experience in strategic video strategy development with demonstrated improvement in performance over time  
  • Experience working in virtual teams and working remotely with international resources & stakeholders  
  • Ability to prioritize and execute in a highly dynamic, deadline-driven environment  
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices in both YouTube and Google search   

 

Nice to have experience:   

 

  • Knowledge of financial markets and the important companies/influencers operating within the niche would be an advantage.  
  • Nice to have experience: growing YouTube channels with a global follower base of 100K to the 1Ms .  
  • Experience working with video podcasts.
