Here at NCHA we have a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join our friendly and supportive Your Home team as a Tenancy Changes Assistant.

The Your Home Team are responsible for allocations and lettings for all of our empty homes across 32 Local Authority areas as well as our garages and allotments. We re-let our properties through choice based lettings systems, by direct nominations and advertising on Rightmove. We also manage the Mutual Exchange, tenancy Changes and successions processes. No 2 days are ever the same and there is lots of variety within the roles in our Team.

The role:

This is an agile working role and after initial training you will be required to work 3 days from the office and you can choose to work either from the office or from home for the remaining 2 days. You will be provided with a laptop and mobile phone. You must be confident in dealing with customers on a one to one basis guiding them through the process and motivated and productive when working alone from home. Great listening skills are essential as well as the ability to spot inconsistencies with applications and be confident in probing to gather the information required in order to achieve a sustainable letting. You must be a great and accurate record keeper and have a high level of experience using Microsoft Office particularly word, excel and outlook. Experience of the Homeswapper and Home Tracker systems is desirable as would be experience of our housing system Capita, but not essential as full training will be provided. We use Adobe to send our documents electronically and for customers to sign and return the relevant documents. There is little face to face contact with our customers as most processes are completed over the telephone and via email and Adobe. However, we still expect a high level of customer satisfaction for all of the customers who have dealings with any member of the Your Home Team.

About you:

Our ideal candidate will put the customer first and foremost. Pay high attention to detail. Listen carefully to your customers. Be able to provide explanations clearly and concisely. They will be target driven as all decisions for applications submitted for mutual exchange will need to be made within 42 days. Computer literate with a high level of computer skills - your laptop/computer is the tool that you will use the most along with your mobile phone. Able to work well within a team and also on their own with minimal supervision once training has been completed. Highly motivated. 

35 hours per week Monday - Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with flexitime working.

The role will be based at the office which is closest to the successful candidate’s current address. Our offices are based in Mountsorrel, Sherwood Rise in Nottingham and Edwinstowe.
