Job Description:

As a Child Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in our team, directly assisting children and young people in various settings to provide emotional and practical support. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Direct Support: Offer emotional support, guidance, and practical assistance to children and young people in need.
  2. Individualised Care: Develop and implement care plans tailored to the specific needs and goals of each child.
  3. Safety and Well-being: Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
  4. Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with children, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.
  5. Behavioural Support: Assist children in developing positive behaviour and coping strategies.
  6. Life Skills: Support children in acquiring essential life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene.
  7. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and documentation of your interactions and observations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (relevant certifications or qualifications are a plus).
  • Experience working with children or young people in a support or care role.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on children's lives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to the changing needs of the children.
