Hours - 5/7 days, 48

Our client is a beautiful pub located in Andover
that serves high quality fresh food to a range of clientele. With
control over the menus they use the best local and national suppliers
to bring amazing dishes created by their head chef all year round.
This is a fantastic location to develop and learn as a chef as well as
express your passion for cooking.
They are looking for a
passionate sous chef to join their team. An ideal candidate would have
had fresh food experience in a similar venue previously.
Duties
and responsibilities
* To be friendly, courteous and professional
at all times to colleagues, suppliers or anyone entering the
kitchen.
* Ensure team are following, and you are leading by
example, correct opening and closing procedures, for every shift,
working safely and tidily at all times. Stay behind with the KP so
everyone finishes together
* Daily delegation to team ensuring
efficient practises are being used in regards to food preparation and
section set-up, including checking all sections pre-service, and
conducting spot checks during service.
* At the end of the day,
develop, write and cost 'specials' for the next day

Carry out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose
of the job as requested by Management
* Whenever possible
maintain flexible operating hours, adapting to unforeseen
circumstances to suit the situation.

What you will bring
* Previous experience in a
similar role
* A comprehensive knowledge of fresh food techniques
and recipies
* A positive and collaborative working style
*
Ability to be acting head chef in the absence of upper management.
* Flexibility in approached and working ability to support the
team
* Ability to train and coach the junior member of the team
in a supportive and effective way.
