Job Description

Procurement Category Manager - Construction, FF&E and Maintenance (m/f/d)


Be part of a multicultural team spread across Europe where your job will be to identify the hotels’ needs and find solutions in technical-oriented categories including maintenance, refurbishment, technical products distribution and Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E). Your scope covers the Western-European region.


Your role is a mix between category manager and technical CAPEX buyer for specific projects:



  • As a Category Manager, you will set up strategies in your categories, source suppliers, negotiate contracts with them, deploy their solutions in the hotels and manage the relationships (SRM).

  • As a technical buyer, you will lead tenders for specific CAPEX projects of your clients.


You Will Be Responsible For

  • All local procurement for your categories and the P&L for your categories.

  • Designing offers with your suppliers and promoting them to your hotels.

  • Supporting your management for key information, such as keeping track of the major KPIs, analysis of capture rates, follow up of declarative campaigns.

  • Leading tenders with our e‑Sourcing tool. Being able to present hotel owners and management tender analyses / syntheses for decision‑making.

  • Managing suppliers’ relationships: organize business reviews, negotiate and maintain standard terms and prices with our preferred suppliers.


Qualifications

  • Fluency in French and English is essential, any other European language will be a plus.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement (Capex procurement and/or category management).

  • Affinity for technical topics; previous experience in technical procurement is a plus.

  • Strategic and analytical mindset with a strong customer focus.

  • Skilled in managing complex tenders and client relationships.

  • Strong communication skills and adaptability towards hotel owners and suppliers.

  • Autonomy, proactivity, and rigour.

  • Team player.

Fairview Hotels is a well-established and expanding UK hotel group, offering a diverse portfolio of properties that serve both business and leisure markets. We are now seeking two motivated and capable Regional Sales Executives to join our commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual currently working in a single-property hotel sales role who is ready to progress into regional, multi-property sales.

Role Overview

The Regional Sales Executive will support and grow business across a cluster of Fairview Hotels within a designated region (the North or Midlands – you can select your base hotel Wolverhampton/Nottingham/Newcastle/Worsley-Salford/Coventry). Working closely with the commercial team and individual hotel teams, this role will involve proactive selling, business development, account management, and revenue generation across multiple properties.

This is an ideal opportunity for a sales professional who is ready to expand their scope and responsibility, moving from single-property sales into a regional commercial environment with full training and mentoring provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and secure new corporate, group, and event business for multiple hotel properties in your region
  • Manage and develop existing client accounts to drive repeat business and increase market share
  • Support the implementation of sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets across your cluster
  • Conduct client visits, property show rounds, and attend relevant networking and trade events
  • Work closely with hotel General Managers, Revenue Managers, and the wider sales team to align goals and strategies
  • Produce regular sales activity reports, pipeline updates, and revenue forecasts
  • Maintain accurate records of all client interactions and opportunities using the company’s CRM system

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a proactive sales role within the hotel or wider hospitality industry
  • Strong understanding of the sales process, account development, and client relationship management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritise a varied workload
  • High level of commercial awareness with an interest in market trends and competitor activity
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the region (a valid UK driving licence is essential)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with booking systems (e.g., Opera, Salesforce) is advantageous

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the maintenance function, providing reactive and proactive multi‑skilled service for all operational equipment and hotel infrastructure.

Qualifications
  • Formal qualification in Mechanical, HVAC, or Electrical engineering.
  • 3 years of hotel maintenance experience.
  • H&S trained (IBOSH), with ability to read and write risk assessments.
  • Energy management knowledge.
  • Basic Microsoft Office and Outlook proficiency.
  • Budget planning for CAPX & OPEX cost controls.
Must Have Technical Skills
  • Basic plumbing knowledge and ability to fix bathroom leaks, replace flush tanks, and replace toilet bowls.
  • Electrical knowledge.
  • Painting and decoration skills.

Understanding guest experience is key; one‑night stay will be offered for new hires to experience the service first‑hand.
