Responsibilities
  • Install, commission and decommission generators, temporary power systems equipment on our customer site, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
  • Carry out planned maintenance, servicing, repairs and fault‑finding across generators and associated power systems.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency call‑outs, delivering excellent customer service and technical support.
  • Configure, diagnose and troubleshoot generator control systems, including Deep Sea Electronics (DSE) controllers.
  • Complete service reports, maintenance records and associated documentation accurately and on time.
Qualifications
  • A qualified Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineer with a Level 3 qualification (City & Guilds, ONC, NVQ or equivalent).
  • Experienced working with generators, engines (car, HGV or agricultural), plant machinery, temporary power or HVAC equipment.
  • Skilled in fault diagnosis and problem solving, with knowledge of DSE controllers highly desirable.
  • A strong communicator who can work independently and build effective customer relationships.
  • The holder of a full UK driving licence and willing to travel, including occasional overnight stays and participation in an on‑call rota.
