Location Medical Services (LMS), part of the Ambulnz Group, is growing—and we’re looking for Emergency Medical Technicians to join our Events & Film/Media team on a Self‑employed, Bank and PAYE contract.

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing:

  • Be an essential part of the team, providing frontline care in varied and sometimes challenging environments
  • Work as part of an ambulance crew or as a solo medic
  • Provide immediate treatment and stabilisation
  • Support patient transport
  • Deliver care in remote or complex locations
  • Make clinical decisions within your scope of practice
  • Respond quickly and safely to operational needs
  • Drive ambulance vehicles, including blue‑light response

Pay: £17.50 per hour

Qualifications

What you’ll need:

  • Technician / AAP qualification
  • Blue‑light driving qualification (not essential)
  • Full UK manual licence (max. 6 points, 1+ year experience)
  • Strong clinical judgement and adaptability
  • Physical capability for operational work (manual handling, CPR, access challenges)
  • A caring, professional approach with excellent people skills
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts (including media production schedules)

We are currently recruiting for both bank and PAYE positions within our Events & Film/Media team. LMS is a CQC‑registered healthcare provider delivering professional medical services across a wide range of events, including music festivals, marathons, horse trials, Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, and more. We also provide NHS‑contracted paramedic home visiting services and support film and media productions. What will you be doing:
  • Pay: £17.50 per hour
  • You may be working as part of an ambulance crew covering a transporting ambulance.
  • Autonomous working as a solo medic providing medical attention to production crews and cast.
  • Providing lifesaving treatment and stabilising patients preparing them for transporting.
  • Remote location working.
  • Using your own appropriate knowledge and skills to make judgements and treatment following your level of training and competency.
  • Responding to operational requirements in a safe and efficient way.
  • Driving all types of approved Ambulance Service vehicles under normal and emergency (blue light) conditions in accordance with road traffic law.
Role Requirements:
  • Hold a UK manual driving licence for at least 1 year of driving experience and no more than 6 points on your licence.
  • You will hold a Technician / AAP qualification.
  • Blue light qualification.
  • Physical fitness is important in this role as there is sometimes a requirement to reach inaccessible patients in a hurry (lots of stairs), manual handling and CPR.
  • Have a warm and caring personality with the ability to connect with people.
  • Have an adaptable and flexible work ethic – Media productions often work 7 days a week including a mixture of shift times.
  • Quality references covering the last three years of employment history and a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
