What you’ll be doing- Undertakes routine daily activities and is accountable for system design, build, testing, validation, maintenance, and ongoing support of all network infrastructure components.

- Experience with LAN switching in small‑ and medium‑scale data centre and enterprise environments, including RSTP/MSTP, LAG, MC‑LAG or SPB, and first‑hop resilience and security protocols.
- Experience with network security – MACSEC/IPSEC/802.1x.
- Knowledge of network design for security, including Firewall, IDS, IPS, including management & configuration.
- Contributes to formulation of BT Engineering strategy.
- Creatively applies a wide range of technical and management principles.
- Performs highly complex work activities covering technical, financial and quality aspects.

- Contribute to research, proof of concept and proof of value activity where service management input can help shape good outcomes.
- Provide security service management information and cyber security guidance to stakeholders across BT Group in a clear, constructive and audience-appropriate way.
