This role will suit an individual who has a keen interest in claims and enjoys an ever-changing environment; prior insurance claim handling experience in the Lloyds market would be desirable but not required. As well as having excellent organisation skills, you will put the customer at the heart of everything you do.

CFC are looking for a Compliance Manager to join us for a 6 month initial contract to be responsible for supporting the enhancement, delivery and implementation of the financial crime framework and controls across CFC group.
Reporting to the Head of UK Compliance, the UK Compliance Manager is responsible for supporting the delivery of the Compliance Plan for the UK regulated entity and maintaining effective financial crime compliance systems and controls. In addition, the role provides generalist compliance support across the wider business, including in relation to licensing, conflicts of interest, and outsourcing.
About the roleKey responsibilities and accountabilities will include but are not limited to:
Advisory and oversight- Deliver high-quality and timely regulatory and compliance advice to the business in a practical and commercially focused way in relation to financial prevention and all relevant matters that reduce risk and resolve issues.
- Lead the analysis of complex sanctions cases across UK, EU, US, Canadian and Australian regimes.
- Oversee any suspected financial crime-related regulatory and policy breach or incident investigations, escalating findings and recommendations to the UK Head of Compliance.
- Support the Money Laundering Reporting officer (MLRO) in the performance of their full range of duties, including undertaking a preliminary screening and analysis of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) submitted by employees, advising the MLRO on whether disclosures should be passed on to external authorities.
- Lead on the Compliance review of broker additional commission arrangements.
- Perform horizon scanning for any relevant financial crime matters and communicate key changes at the Regulatory Horizon Scanning meeting.
- Manage personal workload proactively to support both the UK Compliance Team and International Compliance colleagues as required.

A highly experienced second line compliance professional with strong expertise in financial crime systems and controls within the Lloyd's, Coverholder or UK company market insurance environment.
Skilled at analysing, interpreting and communicating complex regulatory matters to varied audiences, with excellent written and verbal communication, report writing and attention to detail.
Builds strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders and has a solid understanding of international financial crime laws and regulations, sanctions, delegated authority arrangements, and the design and implementation of effective financial crime controls.

The role of the Senior Claims Adjuster will involve working closely with CFC colleagues within the Claims, Underwriting, Finance, IT and Products teams whilst being subject to all relevant legal and statutory (including FCA and Lloyd’s) requirements and obligations.
About the roleYour key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Ensure CFC’s claims department continues to act as an effective TPA for its capacity providers in accordance with binding authority SLAs & claims handling agreements, with adherence to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) and Conduct Risk.
- Proactively handle claims in accordance with CFC Claims Best Practices from first notification of loss (FNOL) to settlement (including coverage, legal liability and quantum analysis) within the scope of CFC’s delegated authorities.

- Support to the Emerging Risks Claims Manager, the Claims Director and claims team on an ongoing basis; and working closely with underwriters, attending underwriting meetings as appropriate, providing feedback on claims issues/trends to the Underwriting and Products teams concerning the development of CFC’s products and wordings.
- Identify and elevate claims related issues to direct line reports including the Emerging Risks Claims Manager and the Claims Director where necessary.
