The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Service Engineer to join a leading manufacturer and supplier of abrasive shot blasting media, surface preparation equipment, and finishing machinery. This varied field-based role will see you working across customer sites throughout the UK and Ireland, installing, servicing, repairing, and commissioning specialist equipment while building strong customer relationships.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Attending customer sites to install, commission, service, and repair a range of shot blasting equipment.
  • Carrying out mechanical fault finding and basic electrical diagnostics during planned maintenance and emergency breakdowns.
  • Producing detailed service reports following on-site inspections and machine examinations.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve equipment productivity and efficiency for customers.
  • Completing mechanical fitting, welding, and basic fabrication work on-site where required.
  • Working independently and as part of a skilled engineering team while delivering excellent customer service.

What We're Looking For

  • Mechanical engineering experience with strong fault-finding abilities.
  • Basic electrical knowledge.
  • Experience of fitting, welding, and basic fabrication.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong communication skills with a professional customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, occasional weekends, overnight stays, and travel to customer sites across the UK and Ireland.

Training & Development

Full training and industry-recognised certifications will be provided, including:

  • Confined Space
