As Engineering Manager, you will lead the day-to-day activities of a team of maintenance engineers, ensuring the reliability and availability of all production and site-critical equipment and be responsible for the smooth running of the Engineering Department. You'll drive preventative maintenance strategies, promote a proactive engineering culture, and champion the highest standards of Health & Safety to support operational excellence across the site. You'll be responsible for maximising equipment reliability and managing CAPEX projects, and ensuring engineering excellence across a 24/7 operation.
The Engineering Manager will report to the Site Manager and have strong proven leadership skills, man management and support experience and be responsible for:
- Coordinating work within the teaAdhering and delivering on KPI's e.g. Planned maintenance, Health and Safety and quality
- Providing technical leadership - guiding the team on a proactive approach to preventing equipment failure
- Continuous improvements Projects
- Contractors on site
- Budget Management
- Capex Projects
The successful Engineering Manager must have:
- Experience of Leading an engineering function and engineering personnel
- Possess appropriate qualifications applicable to an Electrical Engineering discipline ( NVQ , C&G, HND or HNC )
- Track record of improving department performance and creating and implementing new processes/ways of working
- Experience of working within a FMCG environment but other manufacturing environments may be considered.

- Correctly wire a three-phase motor in both Star and Delta configurations.
