This is primarily a frontline care role with additional Senior responsibilities. You’ll continue delivering exceptional, person-centred care while supporting the Registered Manager and Care Coordinator to maintain high standards across the service.
Responsibilities- Delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
- Supporting and mentoring Care & Support Workers.
- Supporting the induction, shadowing and ongoing development of new team members.
- Promoting best practice and maintaining high standards of care.
- Completing quality assurance tasks, spot checks and observations as required.
- Reporting concerns promptly and contributing to continuous service improvement.
- Working closely with the management team to ensure compliance with Care Inspectorate standards and company policies.
- Has previous experience working within the care sector.
- Is compassionate, reliable and organised.
- Leads by example and supports colleagues.
- Has excellent communication skills.
- Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle.
- Is registered with, or willing to register with, the SSSC.

Responsibilities- Opening/closing of the factory
- Day‑to‑day production/packing of Dry Ice
- Logging and labelling production ready for collection
- Carrying out quality checks as required
- Loading/unloading of wagons
- Ensuring the yard and workshop are clean and tidy, amongst other odd jobs
- Maintenance of machines
- Some computer work (manning chats/updating order system for holiday cover)
- Must be able to work as part of a team
- Have good organisational skills
- Be able to follow H&S instructions
- Forklift licence an advantage, but training will be given to the right candidate
- Due to our rural location a driving licence is essential

Our Farm Shop sells local produce and organic products as well as food and crafts made here at Loch Arthur. Loch Arthur is a working community with our own farms, garden, creamery, bakery and craft workshops. Loch Arthur also provides supported living for adults with learning disabilities.
We are looking for a candidate who can work 4 or 5 days per week and who has the ability to work on their own using their initiative but also as part of a team.
This role is mainly in our Farm Shop but will also include time in our Fruit and Vegetable Department. Our team includes adults with learning disabilities and we are looking for candidates who demonstrate patience and respect with customers and colleagues. We pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service.
Previous experience would be an advantage but is not essential, however the ability to cope with the pressures of a busy customer service environment is essential. We especially look for people with a strong interest in food and who want to work with local and organic produce.
Technical and Customer Service Duties- Serving customers within the farm shop, including support on the tills
- Making up and dispatching customer orders
- Dealing with deliveries including receiving, sorting and storing produce
- Creating displays of our fruit and vegetables and maintaining the display
- Maintaining awareness of fresh and perishable foods – assisting in stocking, sorting, rotating and displaying these products
- Maintaining standards of cleanliness, hygiene and quality within and around the shop and storage areas
- Commitment to good customer service and contributing to the wider team
Successful applicants will be required to undergo clearance for working with vulnerable adults (PVG).
The starting rate of pay meets National Minimum Wage.
