Key Responsibilities :
- Manage a varied caseload of Clinical Negligence matters, including complex and high-value claims
- Represent clients effectively and in line with the firm’s standards and values
- Contribute to the growth and development of the Clinical Negligence department
- Conduct local business development and secure referrals
- Engage in marketing initiatives, including website content and client outreach
- Develop and maintain relationships with established referral partners
- Maintain accurate case records using the firm’s case management system
- Adhere to firm procedures and compliance requirements, including diary management
- Ensure regulatory compliance, including Money Laundering and Data Protection

About the OpportunityHarkaye Core Talent is recruiting for a Property & Affairs Solicitor to join a specialist Court of Protection / Private Client team.
This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and rewarding matters, supporting vulnerable clients and their families with financial decision-making, asset management, and long-term planning.
The RoleYou will manage your own caseload of Property & Affairs Court of Protection matters , delivering high-quality advice with sensitivity and professionalism.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing Property & Affairs Court of Protection cases from instruction to conclusion
- Acting as professional deputy or supporting deputyship appointments
- Preparing and submitting deputyship applications and supporting documentation
- Advising on financial management, trusts, and asset protection
- Liaising with clients, families, OPG, banks, and third parties
- Preparing annual reports and accounts for the Office of the Public Guardian
- Ensuring compliance with Mental Capacity Act requirements and best practice
- Maintaining excellent standards of client care and file management
You will:
- Be a qualified solicitor in England & Wales
- Have experience in Property & Affairs / Court of Protection / Private Client work
- Have a solid understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005
- Be confident managing sensitive matters involving vulnerable clients
- Have strong organisational and financial awareness
- Be an empathetic communicator with excellent attention to detail

We’re working with a growing Personal Injury team that’s looking to bring in a Newly Qualified Solicitor who’s keen to develop their litigation experience in a supportive but driven environment.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of your own caseload, working on genuine, good-quality claims sourced internally (no CMC work). You’ll be trusted to run files with guidance available as you continue to develop.
What the role involves- Running a mixed pre-litigated and litigated Personal Injury caseload
- Managing files from initial instruction through to settlement or hearing
- Advising clients clearly and confidently at each stage of their claim
- Preparing key legal documentation, including witness statements and pleadings
- Instructing medical experts and liaising with counsel where required
- Reviewing evidence, liability, and quantum to progress matters efficientlyNegotiating settlements and assisting with hearings when needed
- Working to targets in a fast-moving team, while maintaining strong client care
- Using a case management system to manage deadlines and compliance
- Around 6 months+ experience within Personal Injury (including litigation exposure)
- Comfortable managing a caseload with supervision
- Strong client communication and organisational skills
- Experience opening files, completing risk assessments, and handling initial paperwork
- Drafting witness statements and pleadings
- Instructing experts
- Reviewing medical reports and valuations
- An interest in progressing cases through litigation where appropriate
- A good understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules
- Previous use of Proclaim or similar case management systems is beneficial
