As a result of continued growth, HealthHero are seeking to recruit one Urgent Care Assistant to undertake driving, receptionist and base duties to support the delivery of Integrated Urgent Care services across Wiltshire, Swindon and Bath and North East Somerset on a part-time, fixed-term contract (6 months, until January 2027). Our shift patterns are varied, inclusive of weekday evenings, weekend work and a commitment to working some overnight sessions.

Shift patterns and rota flexibility can be discussed at the application stage.

About the role

As an Urgent Care Assistant, you will be required to undertake a dual role of driving and reception work to support the efficient operation of Integrated Urgent Care services across the South West locality. We operate a 24/7 service, on a rolling 4‑week rota pattern to be agreed following a successful interview, providing care to our service users. The role will involve non‑clinical support to clinicians and patients who use the NHS 111 and GP Out of Hours service.

A degree of flexibility will be required, and there may be the occasional opportunity to work outside of your contracted hours to facilitate the smooth operational running of the service.

Our Urgent Care service operates across Wiltshire, with bases in Chippenham, Keynsham, Salisbury and Swindon. Your rota may include a variety of the following hours:

  • Monday - Friday 18:15/18:30 – 23:00 (Evenings)
  • Monday - Friday 23:00 – 08:00 (Overnights)
  • Saturday – Monday 08:00 – 08:00 (Encompassing AM/PM/Evening or Overnight Shifts)
Your key duties Driving
  • Drive clinicians to the patient's home in a safe and legal manner – adhering to current driving regulations
  • Perform basic vehicle checks at the beginning and end of shifts – ensuring they are roadworthy, fuelled and fully equipped
  • Accurately record all medications and consumables used while on shift
Base
  • Be the first point of contact for the patient or carer/relative in our designated Treatment Centres
  • Support clinicians while you are on shift
  • Communicate with patients both in person and via telephone (comfort & welfare checks)
  • Ensure the Treatment Centre is kept clean and tidy
Medication and Stock Management
  • Use a variety of computer systems to accurately maintain stock levels of medication and consumables
  • Replenish car stock at the end of your shift
  • Understand stock rotation and expiry dates on weekly delivery of medications and consumables

Full training will be provided.

We are looking for fully qualified Counsellors and Psychotherapists to join our Employee Assistant Programme (EAP) Clinical Team a part- time basis, based in-office at our HQ in Glasgow

About the role

Our EAP Counsellors work to help employees resolve personal and work-related issues that may be affecting their health and wellbeing. Our EAP services include short-term confidential counselling, manager support, critical incident and trauma support, legal and financial advice, and referrals to specialist psychological services such as CBT and EMDR.

As a fully qualified Counsellor or Psychotherapist, your working day will include but not be limited to:

  • Carrying out initial clinical assessments and triaging client needs, directing individuals to appropriate clinical pathways. This will involve delivering support across the pathway via booked assessment appointments, in-the-moment support, or booked single sessions, conducted by telephone and/or video consultation.
  • Carrying out Risk Assessments and following the Safeguarding and Risk Protocol process.
  • Managing a caseload of clients requiring structured counselling, which will depend on your contractual hours, as well as the needs of the service.

We have a range of hours/shifts and can consider permanent weekend shifts, if preferable to you, for a work/life balance (our current vacancies are for 3 or 4 shifts per week).

Our shift patterns are split as follows, based on 3 days:

Plus 1 “awake” shift per month – (midnight to 6am)

Key Skills and Experience

As a fully qualified Counsellor or Psychotherapist, our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Professional qualifications as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist (L4 and above in Counselling) with BACP/COSCA (or similar) registered status.
  • Previous EAP/Telephone Counselling or time limited assessment experience, ideally in a corporate environment. While it is advantageous, it is not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Good IT skills with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Proficiency in written and oral English language.
  • A strong clinical background, with excellent assessment skills.
  • An ability to make sound Clinical decisions, whilst holding boundaries.
  • Your abilities as a team-player with excellent time management, clinical, communication and organisation skills.
  • An ability to be cognisant of clients and the service whilst working under pressure.
  • An ability to work within a busy environment.

About The Role

This role will form a fundamental part of a growing Platform Security function, where the team covers application security, cloud security, security operations, culture and risk management. As a tech‑centric organisation the Information Security team will play a critical part in embedding a security‑first mindset into application development and continuous application monitoring. This role will co‑own the cloud security posture and tooling across HealthHero's AWS and Azure estates and have the opportunity to tackle cloud security with an international scope. The role will be supported by a multidisciplinary force of Infrastructure, Data Governance and Engineering team leads with a security focus as part of their remit. The role has a focus on infrastructure and cloud networking when it comes to security posture.

Responsibilities DevSecOps & SDLC
  • Champion integration of security testing into CI/CD pipelines across all development teams and usage of automated security gates: SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, secrets detection
  • Enable self‑serve security tooling for development teams
  • Ability to set up development environment
Cloud Security
  • Own cloud security posture management using Wiz (or similar CSPM); define and enforce cloud security baselines, guardrails, and policies in AWS
  • Implement and maintain IaC security scanning for Terraform
  • Manage IAM policies, network segmentation, and secrets management
  • Configure and tune SIEM (or similar) for cloud‑focused detection
  • Establish logging, monitoring, and alerting requirements based on threat modelling
  • Investigate and respond to cloud security events
Risk & Compliance
  • Identify, articulate, and elevate security risks to senior leadership with mitigation plans
  • Track and remediate vulnerabilities across infrastructure
  • Manage customer initiatives related to due diligence when required
  • Support and develop annual programme of penetration testing and associated remediations
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with internal and stakeholder management to support any requirements from the security function – particularly governance and accreditation requirements across different countries
  • Provide expertise on emerging threats and vulnerabilities
  • Support response to customer/client due diligence requests with timely and accurate information regarding vulnerability exposure
Essential Key Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience in application security, DevSecOps, or cloud security
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking
  • Experience securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
  • Ability to read and write IAC (Terraform) code, comfortable with IAC lifecycles
  • Familiarity with container security and Kubernetes
  • Understanding of secure coding, penetration testing techniques, SIEM, and vulnerability management
  • Strong technical skills relevant to Information Security such as secure coding standards, ethical hacking techniques, network security and risk analysis
  • Understanding of managing Secure Development Lifecycle and Vulnerability Management
  • Understanding and practical experience of ISO27001:2022 controls and audit processes
Desirable
  • AWS Security Specialty or similar certification
  • Experience in regulated environments (healthcare, financial services)
  • Familiarity with NHS DSPT
  • Technical knowledge of GDPR and data protection requirements
  • Hands‑on with CI/CD security tooling and pipeline integration
