You'll take control of electrical project delivery from pre-start through to handover. That means managing the programme, labour, subcontractors, materials, technical information, QA, commercial position and client relationship across multiple live data centre environments. You'll be working closely with the wider project team to make sure the job is planned properly, installed correctly, tested, commissioned and handed over with clean documentation.

This role will suit someone who likes ownership. The projects are not huge in value, but they are technically demanding and need someone who can keep control of the detail.

• Managing electrical packages on data centre projects from pre-construction through to completion.
• Planning labour, materials, procurement, access, logistics and site delivery.
• Coordinating subcontractors, supervisors, engineers and specialist suppliers.
• Managing containment, LV power, small power, lighting, structured cabling, security, controls interfaces and critical systems installation.

• Supporting commissioning, witnessing, snagging, handover packs and O&M documentation.

• Experience delivering electrical projects within data centres, critical environments, commercial fit‑out, technical infrastructure, M&E contracting or live building services environments.
• Data centre experience would be preferred, but strong electrical project management experience from technically demanding schemes will still be considered.
• Comfortable managing projects around the £1m mark, with the ability to run the job without needing constant direction.
• Understanding of electrical installation, programme control, subcontractor management, client coordination, QA, commissioning and handover.
• Experience with LV distribution, UPS interfaces, generators, containment, structured cabling, BMS/security interfaces or live environment works would be a strong advantage.

• Organised, practical and technically credible.
• Ability to deal with the client, push subcontractors, support the site team and keep the paperwork moving without losing sight of the actual installation.

• You will manage mechanical packages across LTHW, CHW, ventilation, ductwork, AHUs, FCUs, VRF, public health, plumbing, drainage, gas, thermal insulation, controls interfaces and associated HVAC systems.
• You will work closely with clients, main contractors, consultants, design teams, supervisors, subcontractors, suppliers, commissioning teams and internal commercial teams.
• You will manage programme, procurement, labour, subcontractors, RAMS, technical submissions, RFIs, variations, progress reporting, QA, testing, commissioning and O&M information.
• You will make sure mechanical works are properly coordinated with electrical services, controls, fire alarm, sprinklers, builders work, architectural finishes and live building constraints.
• You will drive site teams and subcontractors while keeping control of safety, quality, progress and commercial performance.
• You will support design reviews, buildability input, value engineering and technical problem solving where drawings, existing services or site conditions need proper thought.
• You will keep clients updated, protect relationships and make sure projects are delivered properly from start to finish.

• You will need experience as a Mechanical Project Manager, Mechanical Contracts Manager, Mechanical Package Manager or Senior Mechanical Project Engineer.
• You will need strong mechanical building services experience, ideally gained with an M&E contractor or mechanical contractor.
• Commercial fit-out, refurbishment, plant replacement, workplace, hospitality, leisure, healthcare, education or technically detailed building services experience would all be relevant.
• You should have a good technical understanding of mechanical systems including LTHW, CHW, ventilation, ductwork, AHUs, FCUs, VRF, public health, plumbing, drainage, BMS interfaces and commissioning requirements.
• You will need to be comfortable managing projects commercially as well as operationally, including procurement, variations, cost control, subcontractor performance and client reporting.
• You should be confident managing supervisors, engineers, subcontractors and labour in a fast-paced project environment.
• SMSTS, CSCS and a mechanical trade or building services background would be highly beneficial.

• You have a proven record taking mechanical packages from pre‑construction, planning and procurement through to site delivery, commissioning and handover.
• Data centre experience would be a strong advantage, but large‑scale technically demanding project experience will also be considered, particularly from commercial, pharmaceutical, healthcare, industrial, life sciences or mission‑critical environments.
• You will be commercially and contractually aware, with a good understanding of project cost, programme, change, subcontractor management and project P&L.
