The Role

Supporting the Residential Property team, you'll play an important role in ensuring transactions progress smoothly from instruction through to completion whilst delivering an exceptional level of client service.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting fee earners with a busy residential conveyancing caseload.
  • Preparing legal documents and correspondence.
  • Opening and managing client files.
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and third parties.
  • Conducting Land Registry and property searches.
  • Assisting with exchange and completion.
  • Managing post-completion matters.
  • Updating case management systems.
  • Delivering outstanding client care throughout the transaction process.

About You

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience within a Residential Property or Conveyancing team.
  • Experience as a Residential Property Paralegal or Conveyancing Assistant.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication and client care skills.
  • A proactive and positive approach.

The Role

As Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:

Leading the day-to-day management of the finance function for a major operational contract.

Producing accurate financial information and analysis to support operational and commercial decision-making.

Working closely with senior operational management to improve financial performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

The ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Strong leadership and people management skills.

You will report to the practice manager and will be responsible for your own portfolio of clients ensuring that their bookkeeping needs are met. This is a busy role, and you will need the ability to hit the ground running (Note: a handover and client specific training will be given).

You be fully equipped with all the equipment you will need, including a laptop, and will be based at our office in Holcombe Brook, Bury working a mix of office, home and at clients premises.

Job Description:

  • Purchase and sales ledger, raising and entering invoices in Sage/Xero
  • Processing sales orders and purchase orders in Sage/Xero
  • Bank reconciliations
  • VAT returns
  • Processing small monthly payrolls in Sage/Xero
  • Ability to meet strict HMRC deadlines
  • Working with multiple currencies, bank accounts, departments and entities (beneficial)
  • Producing accounts to trial balance stage (beneficial)
