  • Creation of Safe Systems of work creation and oversight, including all control of workflow documentation for Metallurgical Assessment projects.
  • Strong track record of project managing Metallurgical Assessment projects to a safe, on time and on budget completion.
  • Thorough knowledge of QHSE processes and procedures including the use of Safe Systems of Work, Project Work Packs, Work Order Control Cards, Toolbox talks, Point of Work Risk Assessments, Critical Task Identification and Assessment and Manufacturing Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans, Test Procedures.
  • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in metallurgical engineering, preferably in the Oil & Energy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of material properties, testing techniques, and failure analysis.
  • Proficiency in metallurgical modeling software and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.

  • A key element of this role is extended and short notice site delivery requirements. Therefore a willingness to upskill and a desire to travel to our various customer sites often at short notice is requirement of the position.
  • Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections on machined components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to maintain production efficiency.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure a clean working environment.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Proven experience as a Machining Technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes and techniques.
  • Experience with CNC machinery, programming, and setup.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Valid machining certification or equivalent qualification.
