The role:

Engineering Manager. You’ll sit at the centre of a small, senior team (~5–6 engineers), owning delivery, people management and team performance. This role is more focused on leadership, process and execution rather than being the deepest technical expert (Principal Engineers lead on architecture), but still close enough to the code to stay credible and effective. High ownership, high visibility.

What you’ll do:
  • Own delivery across the platform, ensuring consistent, high‑quality output
  • Line manage and develop a team of engineers (1-1s, performance, progression)
  • Drive team processes, ways of working and engineering culture
  • Partner with product and leadership to prioritise and plan effectively
  • Support hiring and help scale the engineering function
  • Stay close to the codebase to guide and unblock engineers where needed

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the maturation of the MLOps function and build the capability
