Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Site Manager to join the delivery team on complex construction projects, with a strong focus on reinforced concrete (RC) frame and façade works.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Reporting to the Project Director, the role requires a proactive leader capable of managing multidisciplinary site teams, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders.

This position is ideally suited to an individual with extensive experience delivering large-scale RC frame and façade packages who enjoys leading teams, driving programme performance, and maintaining exceptional standards of health, safety, quality, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all on‑site construction activities from mobilisation through to project completion.
  • Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to achieve programme and quality objectives.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with design specifications, statutory regulations and industry best practice.
  • Develop, monitor and update construction programmes, identifying delays and implementing recovery plans where required.
  • Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance across the site.
  • Chair site meetings and provide accurate progress reports to senior management.
  • Coordinate site logistics and interface with local authorities, utility providers and other external stakeholders where required.
  • Monitor quality throughout the construction process, ensuring robust quality control procedures are implemented.
  • Work closely with commercial and project management teams to identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Lead, motivate and mentor site management teams, supporting the development of junior staff.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager delivering major RC frame and façade projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage large multidisciplinary site teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction sequencing, temporary works and site logistics.
  • Strong programme management skills with experience using Asta Powerproject, Microsoft Project or similar planning software.
  • Comprehensive understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation and construction regulations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and manage project risks.
  • A meticulous approach to quality assurance and compliance.
  • Confidence in chairing meetings and producing clear, accurate reports.
  • Proficiency in digital construction management platforms such as Procore, SmartWaste and Microsoft Office.
Essential Requirements
