Job ResponsibilitiesWorking for a T1 automotive supplier, reporting to the Die Casting Process Supervisor the DCM Setting Team Leader is responsible for leading the DCM Setting team through experience & perseverance, driving continuous improvement initiatives within the area whilst displaying a clear understanding of the business requirements for safe, efficient and 'on target' setting activities.
Role Responsibilities- Drive the adherence of the company’s HSE policies across the department and plant.
- Lead the development of DCM Setters using the current tools in place for personnel development (e.g. PNet, PDR).
- Responsible for ensuring all business communications are delivered to the DCM Setting team.
- Lead all DCM setting activities – demonstrate the ability to identify opportunities for improvement to processes in terms of safety, efficiency and consistency.
- Lead run‑up activities following die change activity to identify areas of improvement and implement robust systems to minimise run up timings.
- Instigate and lead cross‑functional improvement projects, using 'shot to shot' timing as the priority KPI.
- Coordinate with all depts with issue identification and rectification to help improve 'Right first time' metrics.
- Responsible for identifying, capturing and reporting of data required to allow for measurement and improvement of DCM Setting activities.
- Drive DCM Setting team to maintain process documentation to a certifiable level – e. g., daily audits, settings sheets, standard work instructions.
- Offer guidance to others in the business through effective communication, leadership, coaching and mentoring.
- Playing a supporting role in the implementation of new die casting products/technologies through design input, launches/burst builds/tool trials.
- Leadership skills to mentor and coach team members

- Provide plant representation during functional project reviews to ensure project launch activities are carried out in line with CPMP
- Support project lessons learnt events
- Network internally and externally to gain knowledge of latest benchmarks and new innovations

- Support continuous improvement activities
- Identify opportunities for Value Analysis / Value Engineering( VA/VE) and support customer Total Value stream Mapping (TVM) activity

Job Responsibilities Position SummaryIs responsible for leading the work‑related development of the new manufacturing processes.
The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Will- Develop concepts that include specification of equipment and make recommendations for the technical selection of purchased equipment.

- Develop pre-production packaging solutions for WIP and Finished Goods
- Lead equipment project timelines. Manage on time delivery, within budget.
- Lead the equipment drawing review and approval process with supplier. Review equipment drawings with SMEs and approve/reject based on review
- Provide timely review and feedback to supplier
- Support and document equipment run‑off at suppliers prior to shipment
- Support and document equipment run‑off on‑site at CCUK Final Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Taking Over Certificate.
- Comfortable managing change
- Knows and understands process documentation and customer specific requirements as they related to the program and/or equipment
- Prepare and present material for program review meetings
- Lead and coordinate with Department Leaders in preparation of RFQs and proposals, statement of work and specifications and execution of contract requirements

- Experience of robotic and automated operation in a continuous process environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
- Computer literate in Microsoft applications.
- Desire to be part of a winning production team.
- The ability to work shifts is essential.
- Knowledge of PLC systems
- Apprentice trained with experience within an industrial environment.
- HNC in an engineering discipline.
- Automotive production experience.
- MIG/MAG welding processes
- Robotic training: Motorman/ABB/Fanuc
- PLC training: Siemens/ Rockwell/ Mitsubishi.
- FLT / Crane / Mewp Ipaf licences
- Project/improvement experience.
