As Asset Data Lead, you will take ownership of improving and managing Manchester Airport’s asset data, including Maximo-based systems and wider “off-system” records. You’ll play a key role in developing data standards and shaping the airport’s information strategy, ensuring alignment with MAG’s overall Asset Management approach and ongoing transformation.
You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing data processes and systems to ensure asset records and maintenance plans are accurate, complete and fit for purpose. This includes identifying opportunities to integrate off-system data into Maximo to create a more streamlined and effective data environment.
In addition, you’ll lead the alignment of asset inventory with physical assets, supporting future PPM kit listings and ensuring inventory levels reflect equipment criticality. You’ll also ensure spare parts are clearly linked to assets, enabling easy access for field technicians and supporting efficient maintenance operations.

- Experience using Maximo or another Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to create and develop Power BI reports

The roleWe are currently recruiting for a Chef de Partie to join our aether Hospitality Team. aether provides our guests with the very best start to their journey. Our menu is carefully curated by Chef Adam Reid to bring an elevated dining experience. This is a unique role, within a unique environment.
Principal accountabilities include:
- Responsible for directing and overseeing all daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest in quality, consistency, and efficiency.
- Directing the Commis Chefs in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen.
- Liaising with relevant suppliers to ensure proper stocks of food and supplies.
- Implementation and improvement on health and safety standards within the kitchen.
- To prepare, cook and deliver food in accordance with the agreed menu and Lounge Operating Procedures.
- Follow recipes and/or product directions for preparing and cooking all varieties of foods.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders, ensure stored correctly, rotate and maintain.
- Receive and inspect deliveries for quality and quantity.
- Properly store food items and manage inventory to minimize waste.
- To complete required stock checks including temperature checks as per the required schedule and complete the appropriate documentation.
- Operate a variety of kitchen equipment.
- To work with the Commis Chef and Senior Chef as appropriate to prepare foods to be cooked. Some of the preparation procedures are, but not limited to, washing, peeling, cutting and shredding.
- To ensure the food offering is presented to a high standard. Maintain the food offering ensuring presentation meets operating standards.
- Assist with clearing and organising the kitchen ensuring a high standard of hygiene. Ensure floors are swept, mopped or vacuumed and ensure equipment is cleaned, sanitised and stored correctly.
- Dispose of waste, including recycling, in the appropriate manner and if required to remove it to the designated location.
- Assist in one to one training of new staff, including subcontracted supplier staff, in order to uphold the high level of presentation, hospitality and service.
- To work flexibly to the rota.
We are looking for someone who has a strong hospitality professional with experience in high-quality food production and service delivery. Ideally qualified to NVQ Level 2 Commis Chef, City & Guilds Food Production, or an equivalent qualification, with experience in a similar role or currently working as a Commis Chef and ready to progress. Demonstrates excellent food preparation, cooking, and knife skills, alongside a sound understanding of food safety, product handling, and storage requirements. A proactive team player with a customer-focused approach, capable of building effective relationships and supporting colleagues to deliver exceptional culinary experiences.
Key skills and experience:
- Proven background in hospitality and service environments with a track record of delivering high standards.
- Advanced food preparation, cooking, and presentation skills, producing quality dishes in line with business requirements.
- Strong knowledge of food safety legislation, including the correct handling and storage of products to maintain quality.
- Excellent customer service skills with a first-class approach to guest satisfaction.
- Ability to brief, coach, and support team members to consistently deliver high-quality dishes and menu items.
- Computer literate, with experience using Microsoft Office and Zonal stock and ordering systems.
- Able to work independently, use initiative, and develop positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Understanding of profit and loss principles, with the ability to contribute to financial performance by operating efficiently, minimising waste, and supporting target profit margins.

The roleThe Water Quality Technician is responsible for carrying out water quality monitoring, inspections and first-line maintenance activities across East Midlands Airport’s surface water drainage and containment assets. Duties include:
- Supporting the safe and compliant operation of the airport’s surface water systems, helping to minimise environmental risk and maintain asset serviceability
- Ensuring water quality standards and environmental controls are effectively managed
- Undertaking planned and reactive first-line maintenance on surface water assets, including ponds, penstocks, pumps, monitoring equipment, containment systems and associated ancillary equipment
- Carrying out routine inspections of surface water drainage, containment and discharge systems, identifying defects, operational issues, pollution risks or asset condition concerns
- Completing daily pond inspections and reporting during the winter period, by conducting risk-based inspections and regular monitoring
- Carrying out water quality testing using handheld equipment and supporting formal laboratory sampling requirements
- Completing water quality sampling throughout the winter and summer
- Supporting the operation of surface water containment and discharge systems to help minimise the risk of environmental consent breaches
- Recording all maintenance, inspections, sampling and operational activity accurately within Maximo or other MAG-approved systems
- Proven ability to carry out first-line maintenance, inspections and minor repairs to a high standard
- Experience working in a similar role within a large commercial, industrial or operational environment
- Practical understanding of surface water drainage assets, including ponds, lagoons, pumps, valves, penstocks and monitoring equipment
- Ability to complete water quality sampling, field testing and routine inspections in line with agreed procedures
- Basic understanding of SCADA or similar control and monitoring systems
- Good awareness of health, safety and environmental requirements
