Job Description
Finance & Accounts Coordinator
Credit Control | Cashflow Planning | Accounts Administration
North Birmingham
30,000 - 35,000 DOE, with flexibility for an exceptional candidate
Full-Time | Permanent | Office-Based
Are you an experienced finance, accounts or credit control professional who enjoys being close to the business, not hidden away in the background?
This is a rare opportunity to join a successful, fast-growing logistics and warehousing business at a pivotal stage in its development. The company has doubled turnover in recent years, continues to win new customer opportunities, and now requires a capable Finance & Accounts Coordinator to bring structure, ownership and visibility to its day-to-day accounts function.
This is not a narrow credit control role.
It is a hands-on, business-critical position where you will become the central link between customers, operations, directors and external accountants. You will help the business understand what money is coming in, what needs paying, where risks may sit, and how cashflow can be managed effectively as the company continues to grow.
The Role
You will take ownership of customer account management, credit control, debtor follow-up, cashflow forecasting and finance administration.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing customer statements and follow-up activity.
- Chasing outstanding payments professionally and confidently.
- Conducting customer credit checks and recommending credit limits.
- Monitoring aged debt and payment commitments.
- Maintaining accurate records in Sage.
- Producing cashflow forecasts and visibility of expected receipts.
- Supporting supplier payment planning.
- Resolving customer account queries, including invoice and POD-related issues.
- Preparing information for external accountants.
- Supporting month-end close and management reporting.
- Working closely with directors, operations and the wider administration team.
The business operates in a busy logistics environment where accuracy, pace and attention to detail matter. You will be dealing with high volumes of transport documentation, customer invoices, proof of delivery queries and account follow-up activity.
What Makes This Opportunity Different?
You will not be joining a large corporate finance department where your role is limited to one small task.
You will be joining a growing, entrepreneurial SME where your work will have direct visibility and impact.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Shape how the accounts function operates.
- Improve credit control and cashflow processes.
- Work directly with business owners and decision-makers.
- Gain wider exposure to operations, customers and commercial activity.
- Develop professionally with funded training and qualification support.
- Grow into broader finance responsibilities over time.
For the right person, this could develop into an Accounts Office Manager, Finance Supervisor or wider finance management role as the business continues to expand.
About You
You are likely to suit this role if you have experience in:
- Credit control
- Sales ledger
- Accounts administration
- Finance coordination
- Cashflow forecasting
- Customer account management
- Sage or similar accounting software
- Excel-based reporting and forecasting
Experience in logistics, transport, haulage, warehousing, freight, distribution or another high-volume operational environment would be highly advantageous, but is not essential.
AAT qualification or study would be beneficial, although strong practical experience is equally important.
Your Style
You will need to be:
- Highly organised
- Accurate and detail focused
- Confident speaking to customers
- Professional and diplomatic
- Assertive when needed
- Commercially aware
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Comfortable working in a busy SME environment
The successful candidate will be friendly and relationship-led, but also able to become firmer when payments are overdue or customer queries need resolving.
Package
- Salary: 30,000 - 35,000 DOE
- Flexibility for an exceptional candidate with broader finance capability
- Permanent, full-time role
- Monday to Friday
- Typical hours around 8:30am - 5:30pm, with some flexibility
- Office-based in Birmingham
- Company pension
- Funded training and qualification support
- Genuine long-term development opportunity
Why Apply?
This is a chance to join a business that is growing for the right reasons: strong customer relationships, a reputation for service, investment in people and a clear appetite for continued expansion.
You will be trusted, visible and valued.
For an experienced finance, accounts or credit control professional who wants more ownership, more variety and more influence, this is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU APPLY
We are not looking for someone who 'enjoys working with people.' We are not looking for someone who 'has always had an interest in finance.'
We are looking for the graduate who captained their county team, got the grades everyone said were unachievable, and now wants to prove that none of that was luck.
We are looking for someone driven and motivated to develop their craft in sales - someone who wants to learn, improve, and make the most of coaching and training from some of the best.
If that is you, keep reading.

* 36,000 guaranteed base salary
* OTE 60,000-80,000 on programme completion
* 1-2-1 mentorship from the Sales Director from week one

Job Description
Head of Marketing Operations
East Midlands | Permanent | On site | Very Competitive + uncapped bonus + benefits
A successful, privately owned UK finance group is looking for a hands on Head of Marketing Operations to own its day to day marketing and turn it into a genuine lead generation engine. This is a senior, high impact role with real ownership and the backing to make marketing count.
This is a hands on, commercial and delivery focused role, not a brand role. You will own the day to day marketing function and the integrated campaign plan, and your success will be measured simply, by high quality leads that convert into new business. You will run the daily operation and get into the detail yourself, so that marketing consistently delivers pipeline and revenue.
What you will do
- Own and manage the day to day marketing function and the integrated, multi channel campaign plan.
- Drive lead generation, and review and improve campaign performance from one campaign to the next.
- Manage email marketing, direct mail, sector marketing, advertising, exhibitions, and digital and PPC activity.
- Use the website as an organic lead generation tool and campaign landing point.
- Report on marketing performance and return on investment using analytics, and run test and learn to improve results.
- Manage and develop a small marketing team, and work closely with brand and technology colleagues.
What you will bring
- A strong track record in business to business marketing, with demand generation and lead generation at its core.
- A genuinely hands on, commercial and sales focused approach. You are happy to run the day to day and get into the detail rather than sit above it.
- Experience owning a lead or pipeline number and proving marketing's contribution to revenue.
- Team management experience, with strong numeracy and data literacy.
- Experience in financial services, lending or another regulated environment is an advantage, including an understanding of financial promotions.
Location
This is an on site role based in the East Midlands. Exceptional candidates may be considered above the advertised range.
If you are a commercial marketer who leads from the front and likes to own the number, apply now in confidence to learn more.

Director of Talent Acquisition

Job Description
Director of Talent Acquisition
London | Permanent | New office opening 1 March 2027 | 120,000 to 130,000 depending on experience, plus uncapped bonus
If you have built your career hiring salespeople, this is the role you have been waiting for.
A highly successful, privately owned UK finance group is opening a brand new London office in March 2027. You will be the person who staffs it. Not by briefing agencies, and not by directing a team. Personally, on the telephone, in back to back interviews, from the first hire to the hundredth.
The people you will be hiring are brokers. Young, ambitious, money motivated, comfortable picking up the phone and hearing no. If you have spent your working life recruiting that person, whatever you happened to call them, you already know how to do this job.
The hiring you will own
In the region of 20 to 30 brokers a year, alongside a graduate intake starting at five to ten and growing toward around 60 graduates a year in two cohorts as the operation matures. Plus the underwriting, operations, technology and corporate hires that come with building an office from nothing.
You will personally headhunt, screen and first stage interview effectively all of it, then present clean shortlists to the Chief Operating Officer, who makes the final decision. He is fast, he is decisive, and he will back your judgement once you have earned it.
This might be you
The job title on your CV matters far less to us than who you have been hiring. You will be a strong fit if you have come from any of the following.
- Internal talent or internal recruitment at a recruitment group, hiring trainee and experienced consultants at volume, running graduate intakes and assessment centres.
- Talent acquisition at a broker, a lender, a commercial finance business or a specialist bank.
- Running an adviser, broker or agent academy for a wealth manager, an insurance broker or a mortgage network.
- Campus or early careers recruitment for a sales or operations graduate scheme, at scale, through assessment centres.
- Talent or resourcing for an estate agency, a media sales business or any organisation that hires commission led salespeople in numbers.
- Managing a recruitment branch, region or division, where you personally hired, trained and built your own team year after year.
If your recent hiring has been software engineers, scientists or corporate functions, this is probably not the right role for you, however senior. The work here is sales recruitment, five days a week.
What you will build
This is a founding hire. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will own recruitment end to end for the new operation and shape what the division becomes. You will hire and lead one senior direct report to start, with the budget and the mandate to grow a team around you as volumes rise. You will design the graduate programme, build the pipelines and the processes that make volume repeatable, and create a presence in a city where this business is not yet known.
The financial backing is real and the growth plan is committed. This is not a role that will be quietly scaled back in year two.
One thing to be clear about
This business assesses people for psychology and cultural fit, not just competence, and it has a method it believes in. You will be expected to learn that method and apply it consistently rather than import your own. You will be given the approach and the coaching to master it, and you will be working alongside someone genuinely good at it. If you are excited by learning a sharper way of reading people, you will enjoy this enormously. If you would rather run your own way of interviewing, this is not the role.
Location
London based, ideally five days a week in the City as the office launches. There is some flexibility for the right person who is commutable to London, including time spent at head office during onboarding. Exceptional candidates may be considered above the advertised range.
To register your interest and find out more, apply now in confidence.
