The Chief Cardiac Physiologist will be exceptionally skilled and specialised in echocardiography, and shows evidence of excellent clinical ability. The post holder will be keen to support the development of the rapidly growing Cardiology Department. The echo service includes adult TTE, TOE, DSE, exercise stress echo, contrast and bubble echo procedures, physiologist led exercise treadmill tolerance tests and Holter service. The postholder will be involved in the provision of highly patient oriented clinical service and will help support new research projects in collaboration with researchers from the US. Will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, radiographers and nurses. The post holder will undertake, without immediate supervision, a full range of diagnostic cardiac clinical physiology procedures and develop skills at interpreting complex clinical information, responding to changes promptly and appropriately.
+ Must hold an individual BSE/EACVI Adult TTE accreditation.
+ Must be eligible to obtain one of the following Professional Council Registrations with 1 year of hire: RCCP/AHCS, HCPC or equivalent.
