Senior Front-end Developer / Software Engineer – Location: Uxbridge, London. Visa Sponsorship Offered.

Still in stealth mode, we are set to innovate, revolutionise and disrupt a multi-billion-dollar security market with a totally new hardware and software platform that will use machine learning technology and computer vision. We are expanding the initial engineering team for this new product so this is an incredible opportunity to join a very exciting and innovative company right from the start.

You will get to work with a very experienced founding team who for the last two decades have built world class network and communication technology companies that have sold for $270 million, $3.4 billion and most recently $700 million. We know how to challenge and disrupt an existing technology market and have fun on the way.

You will make a defining contribution to the development of our new disruptive product which is a next generation Physical Security Management System. Our UI will incorporate a wide range of challenging features including an innovative display of real time threat monitoring across a three-dimensional geographical space, advanced search rules that target historical data, configuration of machine learning features and intelligent system configuration and management. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to help shape the look and feel of the product in collaboration with our experienced design team.

• Lead the front-end development of our new disruptive product and work alongside a small but very fast growing team including some highly-experienced industry professionals.

Back-end Senior/Lead Magento Developer

Due to continued success and growth we are on the lookout for a talented senior/lead back-end Magento Developer to join our team.

We have an experienced Magento development team working in all areas of e-commerce deliveries, including new builds, extension development, support and maintenance and R&D.

This is an exciting and varied role that would suit an enthusiastic and outgoing person with strong initiative and a willingness to learn new things. The position of a Backend Magento Developer will involve:

• Working with frontend developers, project managers and digital marketing to bring together a client’s vision
• Creating high quality – standards compliant – modules for Magento CE & EE x and Magento CE & EE 2
• Architecture of solutions, and problem solving complex issues
• Using cutting edge techniques to deliver beautiful, responsive and feature rich e-commerce sites

As well as a having a passion for web development and previous experience working within a team environment, the successful applicant will ideally have:

• At least 4+ years’ commercial experience with Magento (Community or Enterprise)

We’re building a marketplace that enables families to find and share high quality nannies. As an engineer on our team, you’ll be designing and building tech to make complex matching problems a breeze, to give families and nannies a solution that just works, and to supercharge our nanny recruitment and training processes.

• You’ll be working in Ruby for most of the backend, with Rails, PostgreSQL and Redis making up most our core product.
• You’ll be using modern frontend tooling, with ES6 and Tachyons.
• When it comes to shipping code, you’ll be sending pull requests and doing code reviews in GitHub, and checking that CircleCI is happy before anything goes live.
• You’ll mostly be deploying to Heroku, with some heavy lifting on AWS.
• That said, our priority is making sure we’re using the right tools for the job and we’re open to adding to or changing up our tech and tooling as appropriate.

Instead of an endless product roadmap, we run short development cycles to test assumptions and make smart decisions quickly. We favour feature flags over staging environments and deploy to production as often as we need to; deployment cycles shouldn’t get in the way of delivering value. As an engineer on the team, you’ll work closely with product and operations to find and build creative solutions for business problems and make sure we’re delivering the most value to our customers.
